Regulatory Affairs Project Manager - Remote

The UHC Regulatory Exams and Reporting team provides management and support of external investigations conducted by federal and state regulatory agencies. The Regulatory Affairs Consultant will primarily support the management of investigations and other projects relating to mental health parity laws and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Manage simultaneous external mental health parity investigations from federal and state regulatory/government agencies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact internally and externally throughout the course of the investigation
  • Maintain relationships with regulators and coordinate with business partners regarding requests and issue remediation
  • Plan, prioritize, organize and complete work to meet rigorous deadlines
  • Summarize and communicate issues identified and maintain detailed documentation
  • Utilize appropriate tools and processes to facilitate management of the investigation
  • Draft and organize responsive analyses and documentation for production to regulatory/government agencies
  • Work independently and collaborate extensively with business partners
  • Complete internal reporting and database entry
  • Perform data analysis and comparison as needed
  • Support additional activities as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience working in managed care and/or insurance
  • 3+ years of experience in a regulatory affairs, compliance or project management role
  • Experience interacting and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders (other team members, internal business partners)
  • Experience effectively communicating with various internal and external audiences
  • Proven project management and organizational skills
  • Solid planning, problem solving and writing skills
  • Experience navigating a heavily matrixed organization
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with and knowledge of mental health parity laws, regulations and compliance

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
