Key Responsibilities:



  • Supervise, Train, Coach, and Support: Oversee lab testers, provide comprehensive training to new team members, and provide coaching, counseling, and performance feedback to lab testers as needed.
  • Schedule and Organize: Plan and manage schedules to ensure the timely completion of testing and quality assurance tasks.
  • Maintain Equipment: Oversee the calibration of laboratory equipment, maintain control charts and calibration records, and perform calibrations as required.
  • Ensure Quality: Monitor product testing for product release and sample preparation to maintain high-quality standards.


Requirements:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field (or equivalent/relevant experience).
  • Experience: At least two years of supervisory experience, preferably in a laboratory setting.
  • Technical Skills: Experience troubleshooting and calibrating laboratory equipment, with strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing methodologies.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant.
  • Laboratory testing experience (wet chemistry and instrumentation).
  • Familiarity with SAP or other business applications.
  • Knowledge of ISO9000 standards.
