Your Impact

As a Software Engineer, you will build the next generation of Cloud Security products transitioning to SASE and SSE capabilities. Cisco is a leader in Networking and Security, our customers are looking to stay ahead and transform from using MPLS to the internet and adopt SDWAN solutions with seamless security services in the cloud.


Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, deploy, and monitor high-performance network service functions and control planes.
  • Troubleshoot complex customer issues requiring deep understanding of network protocols and systems-level concepts.
  • Develop and deliver complex, distributed software solutions.
  • Write readable, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure success of Cisco Cloud Security business.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Have experience with data plane (VPP) OR web application technologies Like Rust, GO, Python OR C - 2+ EXPERIENCE
  • 2+ years of experience of Networking, L3/L4, TCP/IP
  • Experience with SaaS and Cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Terraform, OR AWS technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of data center architectures, networking stack, compute stack, virtualization/container technologies, and distributed systems
  • Experience in the Security and Networking domain with understanding of Systems and Distributed computing with intimate knowledge of Linux and other Operating systems
  • Familiarity with routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, and RIP for highly scalable systems will be a plus.
  • 5+ years engineering experience with a strong track record of developing and delivering complex, distributed, software.
