The Highlights:
Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing & Technology, the Digital Marketing Specialist is a results-driven lead that will oversee comprehensive digital advertising efforts across our schools and colleges for both graduate and undergraduate populations. This pivotal role requires a highly skilled individual who can manage multi-channel ad strategies, develop both 1st and 3rd party audiences, and provide strong leadership while managing multiple agencies and budgets.

What You'll Do:



  • Manage advertising budgets across multiple schools and colleges, ensuring efficient budget allocation and measurable return on investment. Act as the primary liaison with external digital marketing agencies, overseeing project execution and timelines while ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with university standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative digital marketing strategies to achieve DePaul University's enrollment goals. Provide strategic oversight and direction for Google Ads, social media ads, and display ads across major platforms.
  • Lead audience management efforts by strategizing, segmenting, and optimizing both 1st party and 3rd party audiences. Identify and develop new targeting opportunities to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics, analyze data, and generate insights to refine strategies.
    Provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics, actionable insights, and recommendations.
  • Stay informed about digital marketing trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to ensure DePaul's competitive edge in the market.
  • Manage our Digital Marketing Coordinator.


What You'll Need:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record of executing successful digital marketing strategies & campaigns.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Preferred certification in Google Analytics 4.
  • Preferred certification in Google Ads.
  • Expertise and hands-on experience in managing campaigns across Google Ads, social media platforms, and display advertising.
  • Solid understanding of audience targeting & excluding strategies, including 1st and 3rd party audience development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and optimize for ROI.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing external agencies.
  • Proficiency in using analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio, or other similar platforms).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and learning in digital marketing.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license to facilitate travel to recruitment events as needed.
  • Flexibility to work some nights and weekends for content capture or to assist with recruitment-focused events or initiatives.
  • Willingness to use a personal vehicle or public transportation for commuting to and from events.
  • Open-mindedness and a strong eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.



The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $56,222.00 to $80,000.00 per year.
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
