Description

The Inventory and Procurement/Purchasing IT Business Systems Analyst serves as the technology business partner to support and implement innovative process and system improvements in support of our Supply Chain and Procurement/Purchasing and Quality teams. The role will be responsible for troubleshooting, business requirements gathering, business process definition/documentation, systems consulting, and system support management. Position will work with all levels of the business including business partners, technology teams, and key external vendors.

This role requires knowledge of SAP S4 Hana (leveraging Fiori interface) for the Purchasing and Inventory Management (MM), and Quality modules (QM), with some exposure to Planning (PP), and Sales and Distribution (SD). This includes best business practices, as well as strong understanding of the integration points to other SAP modules and other integrated Applications within the G&A environment (Finance, Legal, HR). This includes third-party integrations, E-Catalogs, Punchouts, and Reporting.



Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Support and drive improvements for the growing business with new global rollouts and enhancements to existing Inventory and Procurement related modules. This includes coordinating with 3rd party business/consultants on process and system design, integration testing, user training, and post go-live support.
  • Provide first-tier troubleshooting support for any issues within the SAP managed service model (MM, PP, SD, QM). Evaluate if issues should be escalated to AMS support or handled internally.
  • Assist management in planning future business systems improvements projects and integrations for Supply Chain and Procurement/Purchasing and Quality Business Applications.
  • Support and work with business and technical resources to enhance inventory related integrations.
  • Work with reporting/BI team to support and enhance related reporting via 3rd party reporting tool.
  • Work with key business users to identify improvements and coordinate with consultants to modify business systems to meet business requirements using best practices.
  • Coordinate with consultants, and business/end-user community to develop and review test plans and scripts. Lead all required testing cycles. Support code migration cycle with the Business/Consultants.
  • Support audit requests and ensure documentation is maintained throughout the year to support the annual audit cycles.
  • Support integrity of SOX-related security with business leads.
  • Willingness to be flexible and provide support (with AMS) for other modules when needed


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 5+ years Business Analyst/IT related experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years functional experience in one or more of the SAP S4 Hana modules MM, PP, QM, SD, (or related ECC 5.0/6.0 MM, PP, and SD, QM).
  • Proven ability to research and investigate cause of issues via SAP support portal and other sources.
  • Be a source for best practices and recommendations for the Procurement, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
  • Ability to take business requirements from concept to production, leveraging both internal and external resources.
  • Proven ability to define user requirements and corresponding system specifications and creation of clear and concise documentation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Experience leveraging Fiori interface
  • Life Sciences industry knowledge
  • Experience with SAP enhancement projects from blueprint to Go-Live
  • Experience supporting SAP integrations with third party Apps
  • Experience in supporting a global organization including intercompany purchasing
  • Experience with demand planning systems
  • Experience working on small fast paced project teams
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
  • Collaborate with SAP partners/consultants efficiently
