As the Sr. Purchasing Manager, you'll oversee critical purchasing and S&OP planning functions, ensuring smooth production and service operations across all product lines. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, optimize supply chain efficiencies, and establish strong supplier partnerships to support our mission. Your leadership will be key in ensuring we meet our goals for quality, cost, and delivery.

• Own the Procurement Process - Manage the purchasing of essential components for production, R&D, and services across multiple value streams.

• Streamline Supply Chain Operations - Lead material procurement activities, supplier scheduling, and order management while mitigating risks and handling escalations.

• Drive S&OP Planning - Develop and execute sales & operations planning for instruments, subassemblies, and make parts to meet demand.

• Collaborate for Success - Work closely with Manufacturing, Shipping/Receiving, Facilities, and Quality teams to align priorities and track performance.

• Supplier & Contract Management - Partner with R&D, NPI Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams to ensure top-tier supplier selection and component quality.

• Optimize for Efficiency - Implement cost-reduction initiatives, continuous improvement programs, and best practices in supplier management.

• Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team - Manage and mentor purchasing and planning team members, establish SOPs, and drive KPI improvements.

• Education - Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferred).

• Experience - 7-10 years in professional purchasing, including 2-5 years in management. Bio-tech experience is a plus.

• Technical Proficiency - Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/MRP systems like SAP or NetSuite. Experience with Source-to-Pay suites (Coupa, Zycus) is a bonus.

• Industry Knowledge - Familiarity with medical device components, reagents, and supplier pricing models.

• Negotiation & Communication Skills - Ability to build strong relationships, negotiate effectively, and communicate clearly.

• Certifications - ASCM CPIM or ISM CPSM certifications are highly desirable.

• Continuous Improvement Mindset - Demonstrated success in leading Lean initiatives and driving cost reductions.

• Travel as needed to visit suppliers.

• Ability to lift up to 25lbs and stand for extended periods when required.
