JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Center for Nanotechnology Education and Utilization in the College of Engineering seeks a full-time, non-tenure line position to conduct nanotechnology research and teaching activities. The applicant must have at least a Master's degree in Engineering Science, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a closely related field, however, a Ph.D. degree is preferred.

Research will be in the areas of electronic and photonic materials and devices. The research undertaken will be used to further evolve and update semiconductor processing and nanotechnology laboratory experiences integral to Engineering Science undergraduate and graduate courses. The successful candidate must have nanotechnology processing experience or a combination of processing experience and background that will enable them to develop a high degree of competency in nano-scale additive and subtractive processes, pattern transfer processes, and characterization.

The successful candidate will participate in lecturing undergraduate and graduate students, as requested. Such teaching duties may cover both in person and on-line courses, labs, and remote access sessions to nanotechnology tools using various technologies.

This is a term position, funded for 1 year, with a good chance of renewal.
