Position: Physician Assistant-Incidentaloma Clinic Department: Surgical Oncology Schedule: Full Time POSITION SUMMARY: The Incidentaloma Institute ensures timely and clinically appropriate care for patients with radiographic findings through identification, surveillance, referral, evaluation, treatment, and/or monitoring. We are looking for a dedicated ambulatory Physician Assistant, who will support the Incidentaloma Institute's clinic, attendings, advance practice providers, nursing, and patient care pathways. Under direct supervision of the clinic's physician network, this candidate will be monitoring Best Practice Advisories from Radiology, capturing and triaging referrals, and delivering high-quality medical care in a collaborative environment. Key functions include but are not limited to obtaining complete medical history and performing a physical examination, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studies, formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan, prescribing and/or dispensing medication, counseling patients and families, as well as other patient care duties. This candidate may be involved in any other role that the attending physician deems appropriate and consistent with applicable law, hospital regulations, delineation of privileges, and the Physician Assistant's training, knowledge, skills, or experience. JOB REQUIREMENTS Qualified Physician Assistants will hold at least a Bachelor's degree and must be a graduate of a PA Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) or its predecessor. In order to apply for the position, the PA must be National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) PANCE eligible and eligible for PA licensure in the State of Massachusetts. Documentation of Massachusetts PA license and initial NCCPA certification are required upon hire. If prescribing medications is included in clinical duties and privileges, Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA Controlled Substance Registration are required. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is preferred. Prior work experience in a surgical setting is preferred. Physician Assistants who have exceptional problem solving and conflict resolution skills are preferred.
