Duties and Responsibilities |
This position has significant responsibility for the advising and support of admitted students to
SCPS, to increase enrollment yields. The Coordinator will also manage outreach efforts to business, non-profit and academic institutions promoting recruitment efforts for the school.
Admitted Student Support & Retention
- Advise and proactively engage with admitted students through advising appointments, phone calls, emails, and text messages, working to build relationships between the student and the university.
- Guide newly admitted students through next steps, including financial aid, scholarships, billing, and academic advising. Exploring students' academic and professional goals while connecting them with critical information necessary to adult students' success.
- Organize the planning and delivery of the biannual new student orientation, including registration, communication, and engagement efforts to increase attendance and participation.
- Execute and enhance the admitted student communication strategy, working with the Assistant Dean on updates as needed.
- Monitor content in the admitted student portal to ensure information remains current, accurate, and aligned with SCPS's messaging and student support needs.
- Support Graduate, Professional, and Enrollment Management (GPEM) communication efforts to admitted students by serving as a point of contact for content review, ensuring that messaging is clear, effective, and consistent with SCPS's goals. GPEM retains responsibility for executing these communications.
Recruitment & Outreach
- Plan and execute targeted recruitment events, including information sessions, program-specific events, and skill-based workshops to drive applications and enrollment.
- Lead regular online information sessions in collaboration with faculty advisors, providing prospective students with insights into SCPS programs.
- Represent SCPS at external recruitment events, community college fairs, and employer-hosted information sessions.
- Assist Graduate, Professional, and Enrollment Management (GPEM) staff with recruitment efforts, including prospective student outreach and unofficial academic audits.
Strategic Partnerships & Engagement
- Manage outreach and engagement with corporate partners, nonprofit agencies, and government organizations to establish tuition reimbursement agreements, custom education programs, and recruitment pipelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with academic program leaders at community colleges, facilitating connections between LUC faculty leaders and faculty at partner institutions.
- Maintain existing relationships with current partners and develop new relationships promoting SCPS programming and supporting recruitment efforts in this area.
- Oversee the agreement and contract approval process for partnerships with the dean, provost office and business officer.
- Conduct ongoing outreach to external organizations, maintaining engagement and following up on potential partnership opportunities.
- Assist Graduate, Professional, and Enrollment Management (GPEM) staff in their work with campus directors, advisors and counselors at community colleges supporting SCPS recruitment efforts.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience |
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience

- Experience in marketing and sales ideal.
- Ability to meet enrollment goals established by Assistant Dean
- Interest in and enthusiasm for building relationships with students and external organizations.
- Ability to readily provide empathic, compassionate, consistent, accurate, developmental, student-focused and honest advising and support.
- Ability to work both collaboratively in teams and independently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, changing environment where responsibilities and duties may change.
