Flooring Measure Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Flooring Measure Technician to join our growing team! In this role, you will be the critical first step in ensuring a successful flooring installation by providing accurate in-home measurements for homeowners and builders. You'll work closely with our sales team, visiting scheduled appointments to gather precise measurements and assess the installation environment. You will utilize digital measuring tools and software to collect data and produce detailed floor plans. A strong understanding of flooring materials and installation practices is essential to ensure accurate estimates and seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be an extension of the Standale Home Studio brand - this role is key to selling the value of Standale Home Studio!
• Conduct in-home/site visits to perform precise measurements for flooring projects, including carpet, hardwood, vinyl, tile, and other materials.
• Utilize digital measuring software and equipment to create accurate floor plans and calculate material requirements.
• Evaluate job site conditions and identify potential installation challenges, providing detailed notes and recommendations.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners, builders, and the sales team to ensure project expectations and timelines are understood.
• Manage a daily/weekly schedule of measurement appointments, ensuring punctuality and professionalism on every visit.
• Ensure a high level of customer service, representing the company with professionalism and courtesy.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in flooring measurement, estimating, or installation required.
• Proficient in using digital measuring tools/software (e.g., Measure Square or similar platforms).
• Strong knowledge of flooring materials and installation processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and organize multiple appointments efficiently.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

• Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.
• Occasional travel by car or plane may be required
