Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Chelmsford, MA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
  • Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts and uses hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
  • May conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Performs fabrication or modification tasks on micro-integrated circuit modules and sub-assemblies.
  • Performs disassembly, assembly, modification, rework and repair operations on various pre-production subassemblies, assemblies and complete systems that utilise integrated circuit technology.
  • Performs the above operations after the units have been rejected by testing and are sent back with test failure sheets, isolating the problem area.
  • Plans work sequence by interpreting schematic diagrams or other specifications.
  • Utilises test equipment to check parameters during and after rework to ensure that the unit conforms to specifications.
  • Records and summarises data and procedural steps taken to assist engineering in the development and preparation of procedural specifications required for assembly.
  • Meet specified certification requirements needed by the customer.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electronics/microelectronics assembly
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Operating computers is needed to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions as well as other job activities
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment
  • Experience in mechanical assembly processes of small electronic devices
  • Experience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environments
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment; Good interpersonal, teaming and communication skill
  • Experience with Adhesives and Epoxies
  • Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance
  • Ability to work 10 hours under a microscope and utilise hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers, and other similar instruments
  • Good dexterity and eye/hand coordination
