For more information, visit CharlotteFootballClub.com. Position Summary The Equipment Assistant for Charlotte Football Club is an integral member of the Club's technical staff. Our success relies heavily on the established relationships and the dedication of our equipment staff and the team's staff and players. The Equipment Assistant will work alongside the Equipment Manager and to setup all aspects of equipment for Charlotte FC including but not limited to inventory management, daily set-up, and breakdowns, and packing of equipment for all training sessions and matches. This position is notably an everyday, high visibility role and as such requires someone that is passionate and committed to providing day in and day out support to Charlotte FC's players and coaches. The ideal candidate strives for perfection and actively looks for ways to improve the daily experience for our club whether at a training session or a match. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities below include the following: other duties may be assigned. * Assist in the execution of all equipment needed for training sessions. * Work closely with the Equipment Manager to meet the cadence and needs for Charlotte FC, Crown Legacy FC and Academy, whether at training sessions or matches* Daily handling of clubs' equipment including but not limited to kit preparations, screening applications, laundry, and boot cleaning * Assist in preparing the Locker Room, practice field, weight room, etc. * Maintain clean locker rooms and safe work environments for players and coaches, including adjusting for COVID-19 protocols as required by MLS, Federal and State guidelines * Replenish inventory in locker rooms as necessary ahead of training sessions and matches * Monitor the inventory system to track all items received, borrowed, returned, etc. * Additional duties may be assigned that are not listed above but are included in the scope of this role * Able to drive to matches and training sessions as required. * Flexibility and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally. * Ensure that the Club code of conduct is always maintained and maintain the integrity of the club. Qualifications * Must have a valid US Driver's license * Must have a valid US Passport * Must pass pre-employment screens Skills For Success * Strong work ethic, incredible attention to detail and great pride and precision in your work * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Works well within a collaborative, team-driven, and goal-based environment * Works well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude * Must be a team player, reliable, and dependable with a can-do attitude * Must maintain complete confidentiality of privileged, and/or sensitive information * Must, at all times, display the character and values of the Crown Legacy FC and Tepper Sports & Entertainment brands * The ability to prioritize workload to manage time and tasks Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position operates in a professional office environment and outside in a stadium facility. This role frequently uses physical labor including lifting, moving, squatting, etc. Travel may be required to matches nationally.* Must be able to work non-traditional hours to support the Academy training schedule; including additional responsibilities for Charlotte FC matchdays during non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays will be mutually agreed upon * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., loading and moving equipment as necessary * Ability to remain standing/walking for up to 8 hours * Ability to climb stairs, bend, lift, carry, reach, and stoop as necessary when working with equipment * Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, and endure weather conditions, including rain, wind, high and low temperatures, etc. * Ability to remain sitting for up to 8 hours at a desk and computer * Must be able to write, type and use phone system * Must be able to work in non-traditional settings.
