We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Slitting and Shipping Supervisor. While reporting to the Plant Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient flow of materials and information within our organization. Your role will involve coordinating various aspects of the supply chain, including transportation, inventory management, managing cure times and scheduling. You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of products, optimizing costs, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment in the slitting and shipping departments
  • Attend quality gemba walks to monitor quality of product and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the plant superintendent, scheduler, slitting associates and shipping associates.
  • Attend Production Meetings, Supply Chain Meetings, and other SPS Meetings as necessary.
  • Review press schedule to accurately schedule slitting and shipping.
  • Review customer specifications to ensure cure time has been met, packing material and pallet organization is correct.
  • Maintain slitting KPIs and report out to management. Managing training and performance as necessary.
  • Review bills of lading, orders, and other records to determine slitting and shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping needs.
  • Schedule all outbound shipments though OTM system
  • Coordinate pickups/deliveries and create BOLs for return products, storage trucks, cylinders, crates, and various other products.
  • Communicate with CSRs on tracking, shipping, and receiving dates, over and under tolerance shipping quantities, and any other issues or concerns.
  • Track shipments in transit, resolve any issues or delays, and provide timely updates to customers.
  • File pack outs and shipping paperwork.
  • Copy, fax, and scan documents.
  • Act as Back-up for Procurement.
  • Receive incoming materials and verify against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Manage Timecards/Payroll for Slitting and Shipping associates.

This position is located at our Waco, Texas Facility and 100% onsite

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You have a four-year degree, preferably in Business Management or the sciences.
  • Strong understanding of customer specifications to ensure slitting pack out meets customers' requirements.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency using Radius, PSA, Opendock, and Coupa.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is from $90,400 to $101,700, plus a quarterly target bonus of 12.5% of base salary.
