Medical Education Outcomes Analyst
Description of Roles and Responsibilities
The mission of Merck Global Professional Relations and Independent Medical Education (gPRIME) is to provide independent medical education (IME) to address identified educational gaps and needs. As such, each of our supported programs follow the standard process of identifying the needs, addressing them with appropriate content, and then providing client with outcomes of the programs.
The IME Outcomes Analyst is integral to assessing, evaluating, and contributing to the analytic strategy of supporting educational programming initiatives to address independently identified educational gaps and needs for a Global Pharmaceutical Company, Merck & Co.
The Analyst cross-collaborates with multiple internal functions to identify trends, insights and outcome evaluations to optimize multidisciplinary education and strategy. This role is responsible for data analytics related to performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting, data visualization, information dissemination, and research.
Perform analysis to identify trends, patterns, and themes within data to further shape and inform current and future IME initiatives and strategy, including:
Learning outcomes - Analyze e-learning data, pre-/post-assessment performance, and follow-up data/outcomes; assist with data capture and input into Insights 2.0; work cross-departmentally to ensure outcomes are appropriate and align with supported proposals.
Educational strategy discussion - Analyze outcomes for insights regarding the closing of educational gaps/needs, including specifics arounds learners. Help identify continuing educational needs regarding topics of interest based on analysis of assessments/outcomes; provide commentary on submitted proposals and how they align with the outcomes and learning objectives.
Minimum FTE Years of Experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Word, PowerPoint, and Access) is required
Knowledge of grant management systems/databases, i.e., Versaic, Polaris, Steep Rock
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred
