Job Summary Directs the planning, development, implementation and successful execution of value-based care programs. Responsible for identifying, discerning, negotiating, planning and developing recommendations for and to clinical operations stakeholders to implement System business and growth opportunities in value-based care. Identifies and develops relationships to aide in collaborative business that will strengthen business relationships to System entities. Essential Functions
  • Acts as the primary liaison between Spectrum Health and external stakeholders in identification and validation of new value-based program opportunities. Identifies, recommends, develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clinical partners to create business ventures and services for value-based pursuits and to open up new markets and grow market share of patients served. Serves as a subject matter expert resource to management. Foster a comprehensive, cohesive, and coordinated approach to the care of patients over time, in multiple environments and across the entire spectrum of healthcare services delivery.
  • Responsible for leadership, direction, implementation and financial performance of the value based programs portfolio of projects to improve clinical pathways for patients and providers.
  • Evaluates market partners relative to quality and cost and makes recommendations for operational plans that provide safest care at lowest cost for our patients, families and communities. Clinical background informs negotiation of processes with stakeholders.
  • Ensures consistency and synergy in operational processes and systems; suggests standard metrics to be used in benchmarking plans.
  • Networks with internal and external partners displaying good analytical, deduction, presentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Partners with, motivates and directs Delivery System and Service Line Leadership in developing and executing growth strategies and tactical plans that strengthen our relationship with Accountable Care Organizations.
  • Operationalizes the strategic plan for external clinical partners with clear objectives and milestones and works with the clinical partner and internal stakeholders to achieve the performance targets and goals identified.
  • Partners closely with external clinical partners by assisting in the development of improvement strategies and applying continuous quality improvement methodologies to achieve targeted outcomes.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration, finance, or related field
Preferred
  • Master's Degree or equivalent in business administration
