Financial Analyst - Richardson, TX!
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting to support the company's financial planning and decision-making. This role requires communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to drive financial efficiency and profitability. The Financial Analyst will assist in monthly analytics, budgeting, stock analysis, compensation modeling, identify trends, provide cost analysis, revenue recognition assistance, and work with data pulls from multiple systems using SQL queries, Power BI.
* Will need to come into our Richardson office 1-2 times per week.
Accountabilities & Essential Functions:
- Assist in month end analysis to maintain expenditure controls and track financial performance against forecasts.
- Provide cost analysis, identify trends, and recommend strategies to optimize spending and improve profitability.
- Assist in developing and implementing new financial processes to ensure scalability, accuracy and reliability in reporting and analysis.
- Summarize and track budgets to recommend approval or disapproval of expenditures.
- Effectively communicate FP&A perspectives to decision makers by using visuals and storytelling.
- Aid in month end processes such as revenue recognition, annual surveys, and stock analysis.
- Build strong relationships with business unit leaders to understand operational needs and provide financial support.
Skills & Certifications:
- Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Understanding of US GAAP and financial statements required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey financial insights, analysis and recommendations to decision makers.
- Continuous learner with a growth mindset, eager to improve processes and adopt new technologies.
- Innovative thinker who proactively seeks efficiency improvements and automation opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, etc.)
- Familiarity with database structures and querying information.
- Experience with DelTek, UKG, Power BI, and Tableau is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
