What you'll do:

Digital Disbursements (DD) is a fintech company, led by a team with deep industry experience and a strong track record of value creation. We operate in the digital payments space and have a proven product-market fit. We specialize in helping bring B2C payments to the digital age and are poised for significant growth in the months ahead. Digital Disbursements was acquired by Western Alliance Bank (NYSE:WAL) in January 2022 and operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of WAL. The Senior Business Analyst will be reporting to and working directly with the Chief Technology Officer.
  • Seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Financial Technologies engineering team. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring our solutions align with strategic objectives. This individual will work closely with Software Developers, Quality Assurance engineers, Product Managers, and Project Managers to define, document, and optimize business processes and system functionality.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify process inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop process models, workflows, and system diagrams to aid in solution design.
  • Assist in defining acceptance criteria and work with Quality Assurance teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for feature prioritization and roadmap planning.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases and validating implemented solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Document business processes, system integrations, and operational workflows.

What you'll need:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial technology, banking, or payments.
  • Understanding of compliance and security considerations in financial systems.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Familiarity with API integrations, data analysis, and software development processes.
  • Background in financial technologies, payments processing, or banking systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to financial transactions.
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis for reporting and insights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to create UML process diagrams for system documentation.
  • Experience working with AWS services, Redshift, and data pipelines.
  • Experience with tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps, Confluence is a plus.
