About the Position...

The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is an onsite position and does not have remote opportunities.

The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) will work closely with the Director of Human Resources, the Sr. Recruiting Officer, and the Human Resources Business Partner to learn and understand the recruiting, hiring and onboarding processes and systems. The HRG will be responsible for posting positions within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), as well as other job posting sites, performing background checks including credit and OFAC checks, and creating offer letters. This position may also assist hiring managers with reference checks and appointments with candidates for interviews. The HRG will be responsible for ensuring that a proper job description is on file for all positions and ensure that all state and federal laws are adhered to when posting positions to the various job boards and sites. They will also work with hiring managers as well as their respective executive on necessary edits and annual review of all job descriptions. The HRG will also work with the Director of Human Resources to ensure that all new employees receive their job description during the New Hire Orientation, and that all employees receive a copy of any revisions to their respective job description. This position will be responsible for the ATS under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources, and will perform necessary updates, confirm that all job postings are approved, and accurately reflect the proper salary range, and job summary. They will also be responsible for creating the employee's electronic Employee File, and ensuring that all documents are obtained, and appropriately completed, signed and dated. The HRG will be trained to be the Back-up for the New Employee Orientations (NEO) and will assist the Director of Human Resources as requested. The HRG may be trained in the future for back-up purposes in other areas within the HR Department for vacations and other leaves of absence. As confidentiality of HR related matters is paramount to the success of the Bank, the HRG will ensure that all HR-related matters are held in strict confidence. The HRG also performs a variety of daily tasks and projects and will assist the Director of Human Resources and the Chief Operating Officer with special projects, which may include mergers and acquisitions, as needed. The HRG will ensure that employees are assisted promptly, courteously, efficiently and professionally at all times. This position will perform all duties accurately, timely and efficiently, and according to Bank policies, procedures, HR laws, and regulatory guidelines.


Qualifications

About You...

You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a team environment. You also have the following:

Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and a PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.

Required Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of federal and state human resources policies and procedures. Understanding of banking regulations and standard banking practices and/or ability to learn and quickly assimilate to the organization.

Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in a HR Generalist role, preferably in a financial institution.
