Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: SAFe Product Owner to join our dynamic team in the security or banking domain Define and prioritize the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities, maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team. Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business priorities Lead the planning of product release plans / PI planning, Sprint Planning and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities Provide an active role in mitigating dependencies of team which help successful completion of Release/Sprint Goals Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends Be accountable for adhering to enterprise standards for documentation in our software delivery tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) Run daily scrum calls, planning meetings, backlog grooming Generate reports using JIRA Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in the security or banking domain Prior DEV or QA back ground Able to drive a Technology driven project Experience in communicating and coordinating between Developers, Architects, Business partners effectively Strong background in agile methodologies and a deep understanding of financial services or security systems. Experience in understanding new requirements and size the efforts Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box Demonstrated ability in writing user stories and managing backlogs Strong understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), with SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification strongly preferred Desired skills: Experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum Technical proficiency in using JIRA or other agile project management tools Experience in a SAFe Agile environment Knowledge of regulatory standards affecting the banking or security sectors, such as GDPR, MRA Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments. Experience Jira-Atlassian software delivery web application Pay Range: $54.37 - $62.37 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
