Asset Servicing Associate

Location Designation:Hybrid - 4 days per week

NYL Investors LLC, is seeking an Investment Services Associate to work within the Asset Servicing Team. This role involves the ongoing maintenance of assets within the statutory accounting system. Responsibilities include reconciling settlements, principal, interest, and other investment-related payments, processing corporate action events, and ensuring cash balances are aligned across various accounts and systems. The right candidate will be able to identify gaps or inefficiencies, escalate issues that arise, and take initiatives to improve processes, enhancing accuracy and reduce errors.

What You'll Do:

• Process principle, income and other investment related payments/exceptions to the accounting system
• Investigate/follow-up with paying agents/trustees/servicers/custodians as required
• Monitor exception/variance reports to validate payments and detect data issues.
• Reconcile cash in the investment accounting system on a daily basis
• Identify and process corporate action events timely
• Monitor aged items and follow up with appropriate teams
• Work with IT/ data teams to resolve issues and enhance applications and interfaces
• Conduct user acceptance testing of interfaces and applications utilized by the area
• Participate in new development, upgrades and/or special projects at management's request
• Keep manager informed of issues timely
• Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and internal/external business partners

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Finance
• 2-6 years of experience supporting Public and Private Securities, Derivatives and Residential Mtg Loans in Ops/Accounting role
• Strong technical skills; experience with BI/AI tools a plus
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and client service skills

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$75,000-$80,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
