Job Title: North America Head of Partner Engagement - North America

Division: Distribution

Reports To: Group Head of Distribution and Marketing

Key Relationships: External brokers, Marketing, Client Engagement, Business Development, Focus Group Leaders, Head of Offices, Underwriting teams

Job Summary: Beazley is looking for a dynamic candidate for the role of NA Head of Partner Engagement. In this role, you will lead of team of colleagues in the US and Canada. You will be responsible for the strategic design and execution of broker partnership agreements and distribution plans with our underwriting teams. You will be a part of our leadership team collaborating and working side by side our Chief Marketing Leader, Client Engagement Leader and our 2 Business Development leaders. You will deliver on agreed to priorities for the team and lead the Partner Engagement NA team to ensure completion of assigned projects that supports overall US growth and service excellence objectives.

Overall

  • Set and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for distribution function, ensuring regular tracking and taking necessary actions when targets are not met
  • Actively participate on Distribution & Marketing leadership team to assist and craft overall strategy for wider team
  • Represent Distribution team at relevant Beazley committees to ensure there is a client and broker focussed lens on relevant topics

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create meaningful relationships with the senior leaders of our trading partners.
  • Work collaboratively with the leaders of each our product teams to ensure all levers of effective distribution activities are delivered.
  • Gain deep understanding of each underwriting team's risk appetite and broker distribution strategy for assigned region to drive regional plans, goals and initiatives
  • You will want to ensure personal and professional development of Partner Engagement team as well as the responsibility to retain and hire colleagues.
  • Effectively communicate Beazley Group's strategy, corporate messaging and marketing initiatives to our stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to execute against the growth strategies and sales hygiene.
  • Help develop targeted plans including broker education, broker entertainment, and tools to support underwriters success
  • Partner with underwriters to better understand broker relationship, including candid feedback on service levels to create an ultimate service experience
  • Working with our Business Development team, you will need to Identify new business opportunities (a program, a book for sale, MGU, a panel opportunity, speaking opportunities etc.) and partner with underwriters to explore growth possibilities.
  • Ensure insights on local market conditions, competitor landscape, change in broker strategies and client trends are delivered
  • Support in driving client engagement and marketing initiatives across north America.

Personal Specification:

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven relationship management and people leadership skills
  • Ability to work and self-motivate while being a key contributor and mentor
  • Strong business development and sales skills, with the ability to appropriately influence both internal and external stakeholders to obtain positive outcomes for the overall company

Knowledge and Experience

  • Deep understanding of insurance industry, broker or carrier experience preferred
  • Several years' business development experience, with a proven track record of developing profitable property/casualty portfolios

Salary for this role will be tailored to the successful individual's location and experience. The expected compensation range for this position is $280,000 - $350,000 per year plus discretionary annual bonus.
