The targeted hiring range for this full-time position is $47,900 - $62,300 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Facilitate import and export transportation of finished goods and raw materials crossing international borders from and to worldwide locations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure adherence to U.S. Customs Border and Protection Laws and Regulations, corporate policies and procedures applicable to all importation and exportation of materials/finished goods.
- Arrange and ensure delivery performance to all warehouses located in the United States, Canada, Netherlands, Japan and the Middle East by working with vendors, agents and forwarders to expedite orders in the fastest, yet most cost effective and reliable method for on-time delivery to customers.
- Generate and track all international documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. Government Export/Import regulations record keeping.
- Determine and disseminate Schedule B and HTS Classifications, duty rates, marking and documentation requirements, information on quota restrictions for imported products and classify products under Harmonized Tariff and Hazardous Material Code.
- Prepare and/or review customs entries and import documentation for United States, Canada, Japan, Netherlands & the Middle East.
- Ensure compliance with USMCA, CAFTA and other trade agreements, global customs and import/export regulations and license requirements.
- Provide tracking information to Customer Service and expediting reports to warehouse personnel, Sourcing, and Marketing for international and domestic made goods.
- Manage and monitor the performance of international carriers and logistics providers.
- Negotiate rates with inland carriers, ocean carriers, freight forwarders, consolidators to obtain the lowest rates with the corresponding high quality of service.
- Provide support and back-up in the area of Free Trade Zone to ensure timely processing.
- FTZ processing for export shipments will be a daily process as well as back up for FTZ specialist for day-to-day processing of receipts, inventory transactions, reporting to customs.
OTHER DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be familiar with C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and provide back-up as necessary.
- Serve as back up to Export/Import Compliance and Transportation Manager.
- Process insurance freight claims.
- Maintain relationship with United States, Canada, European and Middle East Customs offices.
- Review freight invoices to be sure that we are being charged according to our negotiated rates with these carriers.
- Respond to notices of penalties and agency questionnaires.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of all offshore and domestically sourced product lines.
- Maintain timely and accurate communication as necessary with field personnel, vendors, agents, and internal customers.

Qualifications
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and two to five years related experience/training; or equivalent combination education and experience. ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in international business.
- Movex System knowledge
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with government regulations.
- Strong organizational abilities to set plans and meet deadlines of multiple takes.
- Proficient in office PC programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001
- Hazardous Material Certified (certified to ship and complete necessary documents for exporting)
