POSITION SUMMARY:

The Administrative Director for Operations, Comprehensive Cancer Care Services provides leadership for clinical, administrative, operational, business development, and physician relationship activities in support of assigned service lines, business partnerships and ancillary services. The Director works within the Comprehensive Cancer Care Services department to assure the effective integration of strategy and operations achieving the defined key performance indicators. The Administrative Director works closely with physicians, and other service providers to translate the hospital's mission and goals into specific practice goals and objectives and to enhance service delivery to patients in the continuum of care. The Director will possess extensive operational leadership experience within complex healthcare environments, a proven track record in improving the patient experience, strategic leadership background with diverse workforces, experience and success as an executive change agent , and accomplishments in developing and implementing a vision for strategic service line operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Master's Degree (or matriculation) in Nursing, Business Administration or other related degree Work requires greater than seven years of progressive administrative and management experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience and knowledge of cancer specialty services is strongly desired

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Work requires a broad theoretical knowledge and work experiences that include: models of professional practice, contemporary trends and standards of nursing care, management of personnel and fiscal resources in a patient care setting, program development, implementation and evaluation

Long range program planning that involves complex decision-making tasks and quality improvement/risk management

Demonstrated leadership, success, and adaptability

Demonstrated ability to lead change and innovation

Demonstrated ability to execute on operational deliverables to include development of goals and provide ongoing updates of improvement

Demonstrated ability to solve operational problems that directly impact patient satisfaction

Ability to mange multiple operational teams for the delivery of clinical programs

Consult with Senior management team to identify new strategies and programs

Lead and develop people, fostering teamwork

Ability to manage budgets for multiple departments

Expert interpersonal and communication skills

Proficient with standard Microsoft programs (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers
