SCOPE/CONTACTS: Incumbent has very frequent face-to-face and telephone contact with customers and must exercise good customer relations at all times. Incumbent will supervise other tellers. Results of work are checked, and physical effort required is above average. Normal work hours may include Saturdays. Incumbent has frequent contact with customers and with other departments. Customer contact is face-to-face and by telephone. Incumbent must deliver excellent customer service as required in the Customer Service First Culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Process deposit and withdrawal transactions based on the Bank's policies and procedures.
  • Refer products based on customer relationship needs.
  • Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds if work schedule is in the commercial teller area.
  • Actively participate in the Customer Service First program and support the values of the organization and follow established company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to supervise other individuals and provide positive coaching.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Periodic travel to Abilene or other Bank Regions for training is required.
  • Saturday hours and holiday hours may be a requirement based on your branch location's hours of operation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent and 36 months teller experience or an associate degree and 24 months teller experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degrees and 18 months teller experience may be substituted required experience.
  • Most important to this position are customer relations, accuracy, speed, flexibility and judgment.
  • Requires communication, mathematical and general business knowledge normally acquired by a high school graduate.
  • Complete understanding of the Bank's policies and procedures and excellent knowledge of federal regulations and Uniform Commercial Code is required.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours as business requires.
  • Periodic travel to Abilene or other Bank Regions for training is required.
  • Saturday hours and holiday hours may be a requirement based on your branch location's hours of operation.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
