Monitoring and Security Specialist (Full Time) POSITION SUMMARY: Ensure and monitor general safety of building and property. Do routine rounds of facility and monitor for safety concerns. Practice de-escalation and conflict resolution amongst clients. Be able to conduct appropriate outreach to any safety resources and emergency services. EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalency. Experience in relate field preferred.
- Candidate should have strong de-escalation and crisis intervention skills
- Peer Certification encouraged but not required
- Bilingualism/multilingualism individuals encouraged to apply
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patrol and monitor the premises to discourage illegal activity, reporting activities witnessed to the proper personnel and/or authorities.
- Assisting supervisor of the day with client conflict
- Enforcing parking and smoking policies
- Escorting employees to their vehicles when necessary
- Occasionally review or monitor surveillance cameras
- Report to management team on any incidents that have occurred throughout the day, assisting with completing incident reports when necessary
- Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
- Attend staffing's as needed to ensure up to date information on any possible safety issues that arise
- Network with security counterparts at adjacent organizations (Bank of America, Thundermist) to relay and share information as needed
