Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I of the Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Ownership Review Unit B, in the CORI/ Ownership Review Office, part of the Licensing Branch in the Licensing Division (Division) within the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) will provide complex analytical and technical support at the full journey level, related to the approval of ownership documents towards cannabis licenses, including ownership amendment requests for the Office.

Working Conditions
The incumbent is expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM; however, may be expected to work specified hours based on business needs of the Division. Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential part of this job.
The incumbent is expected to work in an office setting with artificial light and temperature control. Sitting and standing requirements are consistent with work in an office setting. Daily access to and use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone is essential. Occasional lifting of 10-15 pounds may be required.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, upon a job offer, candidates must provide proof of residence in California prior to their appointment becoming effective, or the offer may be rescinded.

Special Requirements

Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) - Title 11, Section 703 (d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to CORI. Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance to CORI procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position. Additionally, the position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and/or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals or to sensitive program matters at all times.
Employment History on the STD 678 (State Application) must be complete and include dates, accurate hours per week, total time worked, duties and responsibilities, contact names and phone numbers of supervisors. Resumes or other documents cannot substitute a state application. Applicants who fail to submit a completed STD 678 (State Application) may be disqualified. Only the most qualified candidates will be invited to an interview.
