What you'll be doing...

The Marketing, Sr. Manager is a highly analytical and strategic role focused on decreasing churn within the Verizon Business Group through data-driven strategies and targeted offers. This individual will be responsible for developing marketing programs that incentivize retention and loyalty, as well as building the business case to justify the program and obtain financial approvals. Verizon's CRM team will look to this individual to proactively drive bottom-up data driven recommendations as well as adapt to top-down requirements from executive leadership. This individual will provide strategic analytical support to marketing/sales leadership, program directors and marketing campaign managers to drive base strategies by sharing data insights, deep-dives and accelerating action plans aligned with marketing opportunities. In addition, this role will be responsible for understanding Sales/Field feedback and conducting problem-solving analysis to aid CRM communications and strategy building. This role will require developing executive-level presentations and crafting compelling slides to communicate strategies and results. Additionally, this role will act as a conduit to adjacent teams including Business Intelligence, Finance, Device & Pricing.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and manage customer retention and churn reduction strategies including targeted offers

  • Develop business cases to support investment in retention and churn reduction initiatives

  • Track and report on the performance of retention campaigns and initiatives

  • Lead strategic analysis and insight generation to support retention strategies, and interface directly with Sales executive leadership to represent the BM Marketing team.

  • Utilize customer analytics to develop a deeper understanding of the customer's profile, point-of-contact engagement and activity across online and offline channels. Use findings to tie behavioral data to inform audience pulls to optimize our communication strategies.

  • Serve as a subject matter expertise for proactive insight generation from journey analytics tied to retention nurture and campaign journeys. Collaborate with BM lifecycle teams in refining omnichannel retargeting and reengagement strategies via search, browse and abandoned shopping cart capture etc.

  • Analyze base performance by distilling complex data sets into concise and actionable data insights. This work will be used to further refine marketing campaign strategies to drive greater value and combat churn within the BM customer base. Ability to package fact-based recommendations clearly and "tell a story" with data to leadership is critical for success in this role.

  • Act as a conduit to cross-functional teams, including Business intelligence, Device & Pricing, and Finance, to align on retention goals and strategies.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience with marketing analytics and driving actionable insights.

  • Experience with data visualization and communicating strategies and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • MBA.

  • Telecom or device marketing experience.

  • Experience analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights.

  • Managed agency vendor relationships including scoping, budgeting, quality, and timeliness.

  • Proven project management experience. Demonstrated ability to oversee projects from conception to execution, managing timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, CRM software, or data visualization platforms like Tableau

  • Understanding of direct marketing and Sales best practices across key tactics (Email, Direct Mail, SMS, Digital, Outbound, etc).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $108,000.00 and $201,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
