What we do:

We are seeking a strategic, inspirational, and experienced Head of Global Workplace Services to lead the strategic direction and execution of our dynamic Workplace Services team. This global leadership position will report to the VP, Global Real Estate & Workplace Experiences. In this high-impact leadership role, you will partner closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and our distributed workforce to develop workplace strategies that enhance employee experience and optimize operational efficiency across our global office portfolio. This role is multi-faceted, dynamic,andengaging and plays a critical role in providing the strategic vision and leadership necessary to maintain and grow "culture first" as we scale.

What you'll do:

Leadership & Team Management



  • Lead and develop a geographically distributed global team, including direct management of regional heads, ensuring clear goals, accountability, and alignment with the broader Real Estate & Workplace Experience strategy.
  • Establish a structured team planning cadence, including regular check-ins, strategic planning sessions, and cross-regional collaboration forums to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, encouraging the team to proactively identify and implement best-in-class workplace solutions.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members, ensuring career growth, skills advancement, and leadership pipeline development.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of workplace operations and team engagement, using data-driven insights for continuous improvement.


Strategic Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership



  • Serve as a key partner to senior leadership, balancing the needs of workplace operations, regional nuances, and broader business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with HR, IT, Finance, Security, and Real Estate to create seamless, employee-centric workplace strategies that enhance productivity and engagement.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that streamline processes, improve employee experience, and support business growth.


Financial & Operational Management



  • Develop and manage a global workplace budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining a high standard of workplace experience.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies, balancing fiscal responsibility with strategic investments in workplace enhancements. In collaboration with regional leads, identify, devise and implement global vendor strategies, establish strong vendor partnerships, proactively manage vendor performance to ensure the highest standards of quality and value for money.


Workplace Operations & Global Strategy



  • Oversee and standardize workplace operations across global offices, ensuring high-quality service delivery while allowing for regional adaptability.
  • Lead space planning and utilization efforts, leveraging real-time occupancy data and forecasting models to optimize office layouts, ensure efficient growth planning, and support agile work strategies.
  • Drive workplace innovation, piloting and implementing innovative technologies, flexible workspace solutions, and sustainability programs to improve efficiency and the employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all locations, proactively addressing risk and implementing industry best practices.


Innovation & Future-Focused Initiatives



  • Champion innovative ideas and emerging trends in workplace experience, fostering an experimental mindset within the team to evaluate and scale innovative workplace solutions.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency programs, waste reduction strategies, and environmentally responsible workplace practices.
  • Partner with Real Estate & Workplace Services teams and other stakeholders to drive high-impact outcomes on special projects.


Who you are:



  • 10+ years of comparable experience in Workplace and/or global people leadership positions managing within a fast-paced work environment. Experience within the tech sector is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills and experience working with senior leadership including C-suite.
  • Proven leadership skills with an ability to motivate, engage, and develop talent.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.
  • Demonstrated comfort working in ambiguous environments, with an ability to adapt self and team to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent decision quality, understand how decisions have an impact across teams, offices, and global objectives.
  • Excellent conflict management and critical thinking skills, driving towards common ground solutions.
  • Proficiency in workplace management tools such as MS Office Suite, Envoy, Office Space, Jira, and Confluence is essential. Experience with advanced data analytics and space planning software is a plus.
  • Able to respond after hours for emergencies and able to work outside of designated hours as needed.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$149,900 $274,900 USD
