Printing Machine Operator

The role of the Printing Machine Operator is to make sure each screen-printing machine is ready to run correctly and efficiently for the prints of different designs.

Responsibilities

* Register the machine by making sure the machine is running correctly and efficiently, verifying the art as well as the design film to print.

* Check the screens, position, spelling, emulsion, and mesh of the design.

* Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, and conformance to specifications.

* Ensures printer operation by completing preventive maintenance.

* Works directly with the art department for review of garment separations.

* Initiates and coordinates all activities for printing.

* Checks the oven and compressor daily for the correct function.

* Keeps all sensitive matters confidential

* Other duties as assigned.

* Able to perform well under pressure and adapt to change easily.

* Ability to consistently reach minimum production requirements

* Proven attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to operate fast-paced machinery.

* Must be able to perform tasks that require repetitive handling/adjusting/inspecting/positioning of items and equipment.

* Ability to perform basic Mathematical skills and ability to read and understand measurements.

* Must be able to accurately identify colors and shapes.

* Able to lift and move silk screens and push carts up to 30lbs.

* Ability to walk and stand for an 8-hour shift.

* Able to work overtime, including Saturdays if needed.

* Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions (appropriate footwear).

Education and Experience

* High school degree.

* Experience in a printing department required.
