REPORTS TO:
Building Principal/Assistant Principal

SALARY:
$26.00/hr-$32.00/hr (dependent on qualifications and experience)

SUPERVISION:
None

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in career counseling or workforce development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Pathways Coordinator will develop and implement a comprehensive career and college exploration program for middle school students, fostering early awareness of career and college options and essential employability skills. They will collaborate with teachers, counselors, parents, and community partners to provide engaging career development experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and implement age-appropriate career and college exploration activities.
  • Helping support teachers to integrate career exploration into their classroom curriculum.
  • Provide individual and group career and college counseling.
  • Assist students in developing personal learning plans.
  • Build partnerships with local businesses and post-secondary organizations.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Understand and utilize program resources and budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience in a middle school setting.
  • Familiarity with local industries.
