Requisition Id14734 Overview: The Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks to hire an NDE Technologist for the Fabrication, Instrumentation & Inspection Division's Non-Destructive Examination Program in the Facilities & Operations Directorate.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:
2. Complete training and maintain certification in required nondestructive examination methods. 3. Independently perform non-destructive examinations in accordance with company NDE procedures. 4. Record data and report examination results. 5. Work with Level III personnel for technique development and inspection of unique and/or complex components. 6. Work with equipment owners to answer basic code questions and to verify the adequacy of correction of violations. 7. Periodically assist in development, review, and revision of job hazard evaluations, internal operating procedures, and inspection checklists to ensure adequate flow down of requirements. 8. Routinely read and interpret adopted codes, technical manuals, drawings, instructions, and specifications as related to the equipment to be inspected. 9. Study technical literature and attends meetings to keep current on applicable codes and code changes as they occur. 10. Work with bargaining unit employees, as needed, on fabrication and other projects. 11.
