The Lead Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Technician supports and assists the Manager, Central Sterile Processing in providing 24-hour operations of the Central Sterile area. The Lead CSP Tech coordinates various functions involved in the pick up, assembly, processing, storage, and distribution of various reprocess and disposable items and/or equipment. This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. This position reports to the Manager, Central Sterile Processing and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent required Three to five years CSP experience preferred; experience in a related field will be considered. Certification within 12 months of hire required Two years of previous supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of AAMI Standards, AORN, and AST standards and infection control required Understanding principles of decontaminating equipment, clean assembly, sterilization practices & sterility assurance required Demonstrated computer skills required Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
