As a Business Development/Capture Associate, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and driving the capture process, ensuring we continue to deliver impactful solutions. In this role, you'll manage opportunities from inception to closure, leveraging your instincts and entrepreneurial mindset with guidance from senior team members.

Your primary focus will be on platform and lifecycle logistics services and solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Government. These services include preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, as well as advanced analytics and technology-agnostic solutions that optimize performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively create and search for new business opportunities that align with TechFlow's core capabilities covering platform and life-cycle logistics services and solutions for the DoD and Federal Government customers.
  • Take ownership of identifying and managing the capture process, ensuring the company is well-positioned to win competitive bids and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior team members for mentorship and guidance, while demonstrating self-sufficiency in identifying potential leads and making key decisions.
  • Support proposal writing and development to ensure proposals are compliant and compelling.
  • Work closely with internal leadership and business development stakeholders, to ensure alignment of strategies and pipeline opportunities to ensure effective and timely communication.
  • Leverage your critical thinking skills to guide the capture team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for early-stage business opportunities, helping to shape the narrative and strategy for successful engagement.
  • Develop win themes that differentiate our solution from competitors and help it rise to the top.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in technology and use that knowledge to inform business development efforts.
  • Work closely with platform and life-cycle logistics services and solutions technical resources to support the development of technical solutions to meet (or exceed) customer requirements.
  • Maintain a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset to overcome challenges and explore creative solutions for capturing new business.
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3 years of successful Business Development and Capture experience related to DoD and Federal Government platform and life-cycle logistics services and solutions opportunities.
  • Experience with federal government acquisition process.
  • Proven sales experience winning single-award platform and life-cycle logistics services and solutions opportunities valued from $5-$20 million, or larger.
  • Experience capturing large Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC), and winning task orders under those vehicles.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) solutions, enabling AI technologies, and how they impact business growth and strategy.
  • Experience developing whitepapers, marketing documentation, proposal material and responding to requests for information and sources sought requests from DoD and Federal Government.
  • Use tools such as SAM.Gov, GovWin, Bloomberg Government, Salesforce CRM, GSA eBuy and opportunity information from other contract vehicles to identify new opportunities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to drive results.
  • Ability to work independently and manage opportunities with minimal supervision, while leveraging mentorship for growth.
  • A passion for identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies for success.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and effectively manage stakeholders.
  • Experience negotiating and finalizing teaming agreements with prime and sub-contractors.
  • Familiarity with the government capture process, including understanding the stages of business development from lead identification to opportunity.
  • Eligibility to obtain US Government Security Clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in DOD and / or DHS markets.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing environments and remain agile in decision-making.
