Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative is a customer-focused role dedicated to building strong relationships with our distribution partners. This position requires a deep understanding of our products and sales process to deliver exceptional customer experiences, address challenges, and drive sales growth. The ideal candidate will manage inbound quote requests and proactively engage in outbound sales efforts to expand our customer base.


Responsibilities:


  • Proactively engage with customers through regular communication, outbound calls, and lead follow-ups to build and maintain strong relationships.



  • Follow up on outstanding quotes to drive conversions and generate new leads.



  • Identify customer needs and present tailored solutions to maximize sales opportunities.



  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide relevant product information via email and phone.



  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing distributor customers, ensuring continued service excellence and business growth.



  • Develop strategies to expand customer engagement and increase market share.



  • Identify, negotiate, and implement new stocking agreements to optimize sales opportunities.



  • Research and target new prospects, schedule web conferences, and effectively manage the sales cycle to close new business across all product categories.



  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products, including industry standards and applications, to provide expert guidance to customers.



  • Accurately maintain customer information and sales activities in NetSuite.



  • Consistently achieve sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).




Qualifications & Skills:


  • Preferred: Previous experience in an outbound call center or sales-related role.



  • Highly Preferred: Experience in the waterworks, construction, or electrical distrubtion industry preferred.



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.



  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.



  • Proven ability to make effective cold calls and nurture customer relationships.



  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.



  • Ability to present solutions persuasively and close sales.



  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.




Education & Experience:


  • Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience.



  • Proficiency in ERP and CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite or similar sales management software).



  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.




Compensation:

  • Base salary + uncapped commission
