Position Overview: As a Graduate Assistant for Student Life, the GA will be directly involved in the co-oversight of leadership efforts throughout the university student life departments, the management of Intramurals, and the collection of data.

Essential Duties:


  • Plan, coordinate, supervise, and manage CSP Intramurals with a hired undergraduate Eboard team of student employees
  • Responsible for email communications internally and externally of CSP representing CSP Intramurals
  • Implement assessment efforts and data collection to gather student voice and data trends for the student body and CSP Intramurals
  • Managing hiring, interviewing, onboarding, training, and student employment budgeting
  • Assist in the day to day of Intramural programming
  • Serve on the Ignite Leadership team, attending monthly meetings and program events, both virtually and in-person
  • Create, implement, and facilitate leadership workshops on behalf of CSP Student Life
  • Help coordinate, plan, and attend the Fall Leadership retreat (occurs over Fall Break)
  • Engage students through efforts of strategic and intentional recruitment strategies
  • Attend and assist with the planning and implementation of local trips for outdoor recreation
  • Assist in trainings for Student Life including Student Leadership Day
  • Develop and implement assessment efforts which track CSP-specific retention data
  • Assess leadership program activities and workshops
  • Serve on the Student Life on-campus student crisis rotation (if desired and qualified*)
  • Attend and assist with Graduate Assistant Training
  • Other Educational and Leadership workshop opportunities
  • Assist in CSP Orientation taking place over Labor Day Weekend
  • Other duties as assigned


Compensation includes:


  • 15 hours a week, 4 hours of office hours included
  • Graduate Coordinators (CSP Program)
  • You will be given a $2,500 stipend per academic year
  • Free tuition in any CSP Master's degree program
  • Free parking, access to fitness centers, free admission to CSP sporting events and performances, professional development opportunities (and all additional CSP Student Benefits)


If serving on CSP Crisis Response Rotation:


  • *If serving on CSP Crisis Response Rotation: You will be given a 1-2 bedroom fully furnished apartment on a 12 month basis in Holst depending on your placement (Valued at $3,375 a semester and $2,250 for summer or $9000 a year)
  • *If serving on CSP Crisis Response Rotation: Internet/Wifi for apartment space (Valued at $35 a month or $420 a year)
