JOB SUMMARY Seaboard Corporation, a Fortune 500 diversified and vertically integrated agribusiness and ocean transportation company, currently has an opening for a Sr. Benefits Specialist. As the Sr. Benefits Specialist you will support the administration of Seaboard benefit plans, collaborate with teammates to establish efficient and effective process improvements and related documentation, and work to ensure benefits data integrity. This position is in the Merriam, Kansas, office and may be eligible for a hybrid work location schedule. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the administration of all Welfare and Retirement Plans.
- Manage benefit issues log to provide accurate and timely information.
- Manage leave of absence administration and serve as SME on related policies and regs.
- Facilitate the annual open enrollment process.
- Provide benefit system maintenance, including routine functions, training, troubleshooting, etc.
- Continuously evaluate current processes to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure all procedures are documented.
- Ensure benefit practices parallel current plan documents and procedures as well as comply with federal, state and local regulations.
- Prepare data and reports for testing, claims analysis, data transmissions, etc.
- Conduct accurate and consistent benefit audits.
- Process domestic benefit billings and payment reconciliations.
- Liaise and collaborate with third party administrators, division HR teams, and others.
- Coordinate HIPAA and other training programs and maintain related records.
- Work with HR Specialist to conduct new hire orientations.
- Research and coordinate wellness initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum five years of job-related professional experience is required to perform the functions of this position.
- Substantial experience with benefit systems and integrations required.
- Strong skills in Excel required.
- CEBS certification preferred.
