The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Software Developer to provide research support administration services for our government customer in Pensacola, Florida.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Application Development Support, to include the following:

  • Provide application development and management for all NMOTC applications contained in Part 8, attachment 1.

  • Convert functional requirements into technical requirements to be used in the development or maintenance of NMOTC applications.

  • Collaborate with application system stakeholders to document all requirements and complete technical analysis of application change requests.

  • Document established process, project scope and specifications for application development and sustainment.

  • Create and update internally developed applications that retrieve/archive information from databases for status medical information processing.

  • Support NMOTC defined Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) release schedule for all requested application changes.

  • Maintain application system documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, program code and format web content files.

  • Develop object definitions and architecture of web-based applications, web-based interfaces, and services.

  • Apply principles of object-oriented programming and rapid application development.

  • Develop and enhance database applications utilizing open database connectivity to retrieve, manage, and store data in relational databases.

  • Perform testing and quality control activities to validate application development to include user training, and alpha/beta test management.

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

High School Diploma

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to demonstrate strong technical writing skills for accurate preparation of procure hardware, software, and technical service requirements.

  • Knowledge and experience utilizing MS Word, Adobe, and MS Excel software applications daily

  • Knowledge and expertise in DoD, DHA and SECNAV information technology compliance standards

  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of DoD/DON/DHA/BUMED/NMOTC policies, procedures, and standards to ensure information systems conform with procurement standards.

  • Knowledge and experience managing multiple project timelines and meeting deadlines in a timely manner

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • U.S. Citizen.

  • Must have an active SECRET clearance.
