Title: Global Epoxy R&D Leader

Focus: The Global Epoxy R&D Leader is a key staff position for Olin's Epoxy business, reporting to the President, Epoxy and has responsibility for leading the global R&D and TS&D organization to drive innovation and development across the Epoxy portfolio.
Global Epoxy R&D Leader Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and execute R&D strategies and initiatives in support of the Epoxy business strategy.
- Ensure the successful development and execution of new products and technologies for Olin's various platforms: Composites, Wind, Coating, Formulated Products, Electronics, etc.
- Partner with North America formulated product leadership to enhance the commercialization of the innovation pipeline by dynamically prioritizing and allocating resources.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Drive the innovation/new product development portfolio for all technical platforms; this includes interfacing with Business leadership, as well as Marketing and Sales teams to shape innovation projects, co-leading them (with marketing) through the stage-gate process and commercializing new products or new applications for existing technology, working cross functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and EH&S.
- Lead the TS&D team to provide Technical Service to strategic accounts for the business; this includes delivering growth of existing product sales, enabling new innovation sales, and troubleshooting customer issues by working closely with Quality, Manufacturing/Technology center and EH&S.
- Understand and incorporate the competitive landscape in technology mapping; work with legal team to manage IP and secure freedom to practice and patent new technologies.
Global Epoxy R&D Leader Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree*; Physics or Engineering degree preferred; Master's Degree* or PhD in chemistry preferred
- 12+ years related experience to include leading large-scale R&D projects and product development and commercialization; prior experience with global corporation strongly preferred
- Record of published research and patents
- Strong understanding of current industry trends and technologies
- Proven leadership and team management; experience leading a global team strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally with various departments
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with regulatory compliance and quality standards
