The Opportunity: As a Line Cook I, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality, delicious dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and collaborating with the culinary team to uphold our reputation for culinary excellence.

Duties and Functions:

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the kitchen maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Collaborate with the sous chef and culinary team to plan and execute daily and special event menus.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures to minimize food waste.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that ingredients are readily available for daily service.
• Assist with food preparation and mise en place to streamline kitchen operations during peak hours.
• Operate kitchen equipment, such as grills, ovens, and fryers, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Plate dishes attractively and ensure portion control to meet quality and cost standards.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including COVID-19 protocols.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications Standards:

• Proven experience as a line cook or equivalent culinary position.
• A strong passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality cuisine.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and familiarity with a wide range of ingredients.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and maintain composure under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not mandatory.
