Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect with 15+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake Tasks Snowflake Streams Snowflake SQL and Snowpipe. This role will be a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required. Proficiency in English is a must.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake-based data solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of Snowflake Tasks ensuring efficient and reliable data processing.
  • Provide expertise in Snowflake Streams to enable real-time data integration and analytics.
  • Utilize Snowflake SQL to develop complex queries and optimize database performance.
  • Implement and manage Snowpipe for seamless data ingestion and transformation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture processes and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Snowflake and data architecture.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Snowflake and data pipelines.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data architecture and processes.
Qualifications
  • Possess a deep understanding of Snowflake Tasks Snowflake Streams Snowflake SQL and Snowpipe.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English.
  • Show a proven track record of designing and implementing complex data solutions.
  • Have experience mentoring and guiding junior team members.
  • Display a strong commitment to data security and compliance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data architecture.
Certifications Required

Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification or equivalent certification in Snowflake technologies.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Application are being accepted until 4/25/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $113,000- $190,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
