The purpose of this role is to lead QBE A&H"s Southeast Region, driving business growth by providing strategic and operational management, ensuring profitable sales, growth, and strong customer relationships.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Work Arrangements: Hybrid
The salary range for this role is: $212,000 - $318,000

Your new role

  • Develop and communicate a strategic vision for department growth.
  • Manage the underwriting team to ensure risk quality and proper insurance to value.
  • Foster a collaborative approach to growing the business.
  • Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines following regulations.
  • Leverage technical expertise to expand customer base in collaboration with sales and marketing.
  • Drive standardization of underwriting across assigned business line(s).
  • Capitalize on opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Develop sustainable underwriting operations for business line(s).

Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Significant relevant experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Underwriting experience in a senior role.
  • Experience managing a general insurance business.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience converting analysis into strategy.
  • Senior stakeholder management experience.
Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
