Job Description We are searching for a highly motivated computational scientist with a strong background in methods development for image analytics to join the Data & Computational Science (DCS) team at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. You will play a critical role in building the image analytics capabilities within DCS, supporting analysis of histopathology, high content, multiplexed, in vivo and materials imaging studies. An ideal candidate should have experience in applying statistical and machine learning methods towards building image analysis pipelines and strong knowledge of software development best practices. As a key contributor you will be expected to work closely with DCS colleagues and research scientists, and Vertex's Data, Technology and Engineering (DTE) group to help in the development of scalable, production solutions. The applicant must be a demonstrated team player and is also expected to support downstream analyses, possibly integrating with other data sources such as genomics or small molecule studies. Thus, the ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in image analysis, but also a broad skillset to address data science problems. This is a Boston, MA based hybrid/onsite position requiring 3 days/week onsite. Key Responsibilities:
