DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clinical Services Manager, you will direct all nursing care activities at the Southeastern Veterans' Center, as well as participate in the administration of multidisciplinary and nonclinical aspects of the center's operations. In conjunction with a multidisciplinary team, you will plan, direct, monitor, and evaluate facility-wide operations affecting health services. You will direct initiatives that improve resident health and social interaction, develop new nursing care practices and policies, and implement policies and procedures in response to assessed needs. In this role, you will also direct the operations of various departmentalized disciplines and work with multi-discipline program managers concerning the coordination and integration of nursing services. Additionally, you will determine and establish goals and objectives, prepare and manage the department budget, and interface with business office staff to evaluate the cost effectiveness of resident services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Hours may very to reflect business needs.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of managerial nursing experience directing the development and implementation of nursing care plans and services in a long-term care or assisted living facility, that includes two years of supervising registered nurse supervisors.

Special Requirements:

  • All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
