About The Position
The Regulatory Analyst is responsible for conducting research and studies in support of rate designs, cost of service, pricing and tariff filings. This position will also assist in the development of solutions to complex issues facing the electric and natural gas utility industry (Distributed Generation, Renewables, Energy Efficiency, Net Metering, etc.).

Key responsibilities include:
* Provide analytical support and technical expertise to Rate and Regulatory Functions as assigned.
* Provide support for the design of electric and gas rate structures utilizing sound economic principles.
* Prepare rate impact analyses, and comparisons of rate realizations among utilities.
* Assist with maintaining the Company's cost of service model and support modifications as required by changes to the utility infrastructure or ratemaking initiatives
* Assist in the development of analytical, financial, and operational tools to aid utility personnel in administering the Company's tariffs and policies.

Qualifications-Regulatory Analyst
Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, or related field from an accredited college or university required. Master's Degree or active commitment to obtaining a Master's Degree preferred. One or more years experience in analyzing complex data required. Master's Degree may be considered in lieu of experience. Experience involving the application of utility tariffs and policies preferred. An understanding of electric and gas utility delivery systems preferred. Knowledge of ratemaking principles and cost-causation desirable. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Advanced skills using spreadsheet and database software applications required.

Qualifications-Regulatory Specialist

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Specialization in an analytical discipline (e.g., finance, accounting, business, etc.) preferred. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Five or more years of relevant experience required. Specific experience in State or Federal Regulatory or legal field required. Three or more years of supervisory or high-level team/project leadership required. Proficiency with personal computer applications (MS Office Suite) required

Qualifications-Regulatory Consultant

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Seven or more years of relevant experience with at least 5 years of that experience in the utility industry is required. In-depth utility industry knowledge required. Master's Degree preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Must be a self-starter with attention to detail and possess strong problem-solving, decision-making, and human relation skills. Demonstrated ability to consistently exercise good judgment and develop a course of action based on logical assumptions and analysis of factual information. Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on cross functional teams to create innovative solutions to complex issues. Excellent organizational skills required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as exhibited by the ability to express complex subjects orally and in writing in terms understandable to those without extensive backgrounds in the regulatory arena.

Additional Information
Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$69,300.00 - $168,000.00

* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials.

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
