What you will do

You will provide overall leadership ofour Johnson Controls (JCI)Marinette distribution center supportingtheFSP/ Water Mechanical productbusiness units. You will promote a performance-based culture, passionate about providing our customers with an outstanding experience. You will also partner with peers in Manufacturing, Inventory Control and Quality to build solutions and processes that yield perfect shipments, stable inventory levels, and optimalefficiency.

How you will do it

Management

  • Provide overall leadership ofthe distributioncenter (DC) with a team of ~4supervisorsand~60-70warehouseassociates/staff.

  • Ensure all distribution work is performed in a safe and efficient manner in adherence to company policies, local, state, federal, and international laws.

  • Assist in the development and support of regional distribution strategies to achieve high service levels and efficient inventoryplacement.

  • Directly impact business profitability and customerexperience.

  • Operational responsibility for end results, planning andfinances/budget.

  • Set policies and business strategy for the DC operation.

Operations

  • Develop and manage inbound, outbound, returns, and value-added service processes to ensure the highest levels of on-time service, quality, andefficiency.

  • Work seamlessly across multiple functions within the organization to understand requirements and lead change management in order todeliverenterprise-wideprograms.

  • Provide a comprehensive understanding of customer needs.

  • Identify and interpret changes in internal and external customer requirements.

  • Assist in developing meaningful metrics regarding warehouse activity andperformance.

Project Management

  • Lead the local deployment of Lean Management methodologies including the identification, development and implementation of Continuous Process Improvement, Kaizens, and Six Sigma initiatives involving safety, quality, productivity, and other cross-functional opportunities.

  • Safety, Sanitation, Security

  • Lead operations in a manner that promotes safety and is aligned with OSHA and other appropriate standards.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years' related experience in a management role.

  • Strong background in supply chain management, logistics and distribution operations.

  • Strong leadership, organization and communication.

  • Experience leading a multi-shift DCoperation.

  • Warehouse Management System experience.

  • Familiarity with MHE.

  • Ability to meet tight scheduling requirements, as well as able to shift priorities easily.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
