About the Role:

Responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions to protect the organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves strategic implementation of Sailpoint IdentityNow, developing IAM automation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure access controls. The Senior Identity Management Engineer will act as a subject matter expert in identity management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in a highly regulated life-sciences environment.

Your Contributions:
  • Design, implement, and maintain Neurocrine's Identity and Access Management program leveraging Sailpoint IdentityNow and related technology.

  • * Develop and maintain IAM automation using PowerShell, Python, Typescript, and Javascript.

  • * Conduct regular user access reviews and implement remediation plans.

  • * Collaborate with non-IT teams to develop and implement access profiles, roles, and entitlement

  • packages.

  • * Integrate 3rd party applications with the IAM platform leveraging a variety of integration

  • technologies (REST, SCIM, built-in, custom).

  • * Work closely with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance and provide

  • necessary documentation.

  • * Manage and execute certification campaigns to maintain access control integrity.

  • * Troubleshoot and resolve complex identity and access management and synchronization

  • issues.

  • * Manage integration, automation, and infrastructure definition code in a version-controlled

  • environment backed by CI/CD.

  • * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

  • * Support or lead multiple complex projects/initiatives under broad supervision.

  • * Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.

  • * Report on project status, risks, and outcomes to senior management.

  • * Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree and 6+ years of related work experience utilizing comprehensive knowledge of cloud network systems and network management tools, as well as extensive experience (minimum 2 years) with Azure and AWS

  • OR

  • Master's degree and 4+ years of similar experience as noted above OR

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and 10+ years of equivalent experience, training, or certifications

  • Deep understanding of the organization's business objectives and services.

  • Ability to align security initiatives with business goals.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Extensive experience with IAM platforms, preferably SaaS-based solutions like Sailpoint Identifity Now.

  • Expertise in AWS, DevOps practices, and using Terraform for IAM infrastructure management.

  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Typescript, and Javascript for automation and integration.

  • Significant experience with git, including pull requests and GitHub actions.

  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements in regulated environments.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.

  • Experience working with audit teams and managing certification campaigns.

  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $130,100.00-$188,550.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
