Loan Administration is a team that adapts to support deal teams during the loan lifecycle. Partnering closely with deal teams and Global Loan Operations (GLO) is a critical component of LA's value proposition. Thus, LA continues to evolve to meet the needs of deal team partners with a particular focus on bringing more clarity, consistency, and cohesion to portfolio management, loan closings, and credit servicing - working in partnership with teams on loans from closing to boarding and beyond.


Responsibilities

The Loan Administration Associate II is a part of the team driving solutions and change to portfolio management cross-functionally across SVB's Commercial Bank. The Associate II works closely and collaboratively with other members of the Loan Administration team, which include various Vice Presidents and Directors/Managing Directors. This individual should have strong execution skills, a deep willingness to learn, some experience with commercial lending and be interested in thinking broadly and strategically. Communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills are paramount to success on this team.


Portfolio Management (PM) Monitoring And Optimization

This individual will support the execution of portfolio management across SVB's Commercial Bank, with the following core responsibilities:

  • Executing on Commercial Bank Portfolio Management and Portfolio Review procedures.
  • Supporting key portfolio management monitoring in the first line of defense. This includes working both independently and collaboratively, along with a willingness to learn and leverage various bank systems.
  • Identify and make recommendations on areas of improvement and strategy for improved portfolio management.
  • Develop insights on operational improvements and strategies to optimize portfolio management platform.

Portfolio Management Strategic Initiative Execution

  • Support select strategic projects and initiatives for the Portfolio Management team.
  • Execute on determined project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Portfolio Management Governance - Action Plans And Remediation

  • Support portfolio management-related control execution and SOX controls within the first line of defense.
  • Own specific pieces of action plans for issue remediation to any identified issues with internal audit, credit review or other stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in banking, management consulting, operations and/or portfolio management or High School or GED with 6+ years experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of credit analysis and/or portfolio management experience
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Avid learner/curious.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and ingenuity to leverage resources to solve problems
  • Excel in a dynamic environment. Ability to lead simultaneous assignments and produce results in time-sensitive circumstances.
  • Ability to take ownership of and drive processes, but also knows when to escalate or engage others
  • Experience working collaboratively with more senior internal partners
  • Skilled at analyzing data to support and improve business decisions

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $88655- 104300 per year.
