About The Position

The Instrument and Control Supervisor plans, supervises, directs, and coordinates the Master Technicians and Senior Chemistry Testers to ensure the Control System(s) and Water Treatment Plant are operated safely, efficiently, and economically.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and direct a team of Master Technicians and Senior Chemistry Testers.
  • Be a leader and live the safety values to ensure that every co-worker is safe at work.
  • Plan, supervise, schedule, train, coach/develop and appraise crews in the maintenance, replacement, installation, and removal of equipment in power plant and associated structures to assure safe, continuous, efficient, and economical operations.
  • Ensure all work is appropriately planned to include review of safety, WPA, tooling, craft hours, identification and procurement of parts, supplies, and materials. Perform job scheduling and PMO activities.
  • Ensure quality instrumentation calibrations are completed and that data is recorded and stored for later use.
  • Be responsible for the safe and efficient utilization of personnel and equipment. Coordinate activities with other operating and maintenance groups. Interact with outside contractors and vendors.
  • Perform administrative duties and special assignments, as required.
  • Work with Planning and Scheduling, and Engineering, to ensure that the operational needs of the plant are met.
  • Provide coordination for special projects, as assigned, including Major Outages, Forced Outages, and Operational improvement.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (engineering, computer science, etc.) preferred. Five or more years of experience in electrical equipment maintenance as a journeyman or equivalent required. Power plant experience is preferred. Experience with DCS and PLCs preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Excellent decision-making ability, oral and written communication skills, planning and leadership skills required.

Working Conditions

Periodic Overtime, Night, and Weekend availability is required.

Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$102,500.00 - $158,900.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
