We are seeking a driven Engineering Manager to provide leadership to our manufacturing engineering team and oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency.

This role is onsite Monday-Friday and based in Dixon, IL.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supervises engineers and design teams to produce high quality design packages for production

• Ensure highly collaborative relationships between product management, manufacturing engineering, and design teams

• Work with site leadership team to develop capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans

• Lead engineering teams in executing fiscal CAPEX plans

• Manage site's fixed asset inventory

• Manages all manufacturing related projects to ensure milestones are achieved (cost & timeline)

• Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement programs (margin and cost optimization); areas such as: Focusing on semi-automation in a high mix/low volume manufacturing environment and/or utilizing lean principles to reduce waste in processes

• Develop and execute site sustainability project plans to improve site's environmental footprint

• Partner with operations team to develop and implement visual management tools that will improve communication, reduce downtime, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

• Partner with operations team to develop SOP's and training documentation

• Collaborate with external parties in support of product transfer projects that directly impact manufacturing site(s)

• Manage and support engineering team during execution of new product releases, engineering change processes, and APD processes (Accelerate Product Development)

• Coordinates with other corporate technical support groups to keep updated on new developments and available technologies

• Complies with all EHS and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering related field

• 5+ years engineering experience, with atleast 2 years in leading transfer/ large scale projects or people

• Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to influence people within all levels of the organization

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with highly detailed information

• Possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes

• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management certification (CAPM or PMP)

• Lean Certification preferred (Six Sigma Black Belt)

• 2D/3D CAD experience

• CNC machining/milling knowledge

• Oracle knowledge or similar ERP system

• Experience leading end-to-end transfer of production lines

• Knowledge supporting implementation of robotics and/or autonomous guided vehicle (AGV) systemsin industrial settings

• Advanced skills in Aerospace and Defense manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

• Stand and sit for an extended amount of time

• Sit in front of a computer monitor for an extended amount of time

• Working in and/or around loud machinery

Annual Salary Range: $103,300 - $134,200. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.

This position is eligible for annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
