THOR Solutions is seeking a motivated Business Development Analyst based in San Diego, CA, to support corporate activities nationwide. The candidate will integrate into the existing business development (BD) team and support diverse activities across the BD spectrum including proposal writing, opportunity selection and planning, bid compliance, and more. Additionally, the candidate will play a critical role in optimizing and automating BD processes to enhance efficiency and drive growth. This position requires a combination of business acumen, analytical skills, and technical expertise to identify opportunities for process improvement, implement automation solutions, and support the overall BD strategy.

Typical Responsibilities: The candidate's responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing or supporting the following actions:
  • Business Development Activities: Integrate into existing BD teams and processes, to support activities across the BD lifecycle including planning, writing, presentation, tracking, and startup/execution functions.
  • Process and Organization Analysis, Development, and Optimization: Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes to identify areas for improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Automation Implementation: Identify automation opportunities within the BD lifecycle. Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual efforts. Integrate automation tools and technologies into existing systems to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to gather insights and generate reports on key BD metrics. Provide regular reports and dashboards to stakeholders, highlighting performance and areas for improvement.

Location: Primarily onsite at the THOR San Diego office. Somehybrid flexibility may be permitted.

Travel:Periodic travel to THOR worksites, and limited travel to other partner locations and government customer locations within the United States.

Typical Physical Activity: Desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion.

Typical Pay Range: The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $65,000 - 90,000/year. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required: This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must either already possess an active or interim Secret clearance (preferred) or be eligible to obtain a new Secret clearance upon hire.

Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
    • In lieu of an appropriate degree, alternate relevant education or certification credentials may be accepted in combination with additional relevant experience.
  • At least three (3) years of recent, relevant experience providing programmatic support services, with a focus on business development, process automation, and/or organizational development functions.
    • Experience gained in a US Navy/DoD environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and technologies.
  • Proficiency with common productivity software including the Microsoft Office suite, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with BD systems, data analytics tools, and project management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
